South Cairns Cutters AFL Club’s commitment to providing a safe, healthy and family friendly sporting environment has been enhanced with the club becoming the first Level 2 club north of Rockhampton.
Club Secretary, Sue Dixon said of the
achievement: “We are aware of the
important role that sporting clubs
play within the community and we
firmly believe in providing a positive
role model for the youth both within
our club, and within the local community”.
“We believe that this program will benefit
both our club and the local community by encouraging a family atmosphere where people can come and enjoy themselves. This will hopefully increase our social membership and be more attractive when approaching our current and potential sponsors, while improving the health and fitness of our community and protecting the youth from alcohol and drug related problems”.
